Graduated from Doshisha University in 1986 and began a career at Nikko Securities (now SMBC Nikko Securities). Held various positions across retail and institutional sales divisions before being appointed Head of Corporate Planning in 2007. Played a key leadership role in the company’s 100% acquisition by Citigroup and its subsequent integration into the SMBC Group. Since 2011, served in multiple senior executive positions including Deputy Head of the Financial Markets Division (Bond Trading), Deputy Head of the Capital Markets Division (equity and IPO financing), Head of the Financial and Public Institutions Division, and Director & Senior Managing Executive Officer in charge of corporate planning and finance. Appointed General Partner at Incubate Fund in April 2025.
